There, she became a partner at the Intertraço studio, developing skills in creating spaces that balance functionality and aesthetic beauty.

Professional path and philosophy

In 2006, Carina founded the Base Geométrica studio with her husband, Norberto Barreto, also an architect. Their partnership blends idea generation and project execution. Base Geométrica develops a wide range of projects, including offices, residential buildings, and tourism and service sector developments. Carina’s work focuses on transforming old spaces into modern, welcoming environments while respecting the essence and history of each place.
