Academic Background and Early Career

With a background in Architecture and Interior Design and an international career that began in Madrid, she is a leading professional in the field of Interior Design. She founded her own studio 19 years ago and has since been dedicated to developing interior design projects across residential, commercial, hospitality and restaurant environments. The studio is recognised for its ability to create elegant, functional and highly personalised spaces, reflecting each client’s lifestyle and individual needs.

Recognised projects

The projects of Atelier Ana Rita Soares have been widely featured in publications such as Caras Decoração, LUX Deco, Urbana and Visão, among others.

Her career is also marked by several distinctions, including national and international awards. In 2025, the studio received the Best Luxury Interior Design Studio in Portugal award from the Luxury Lifestyle Awards.

Experience

Alongside her studio practice, Ana Rita Soares was the founder and director of the Interior Design course at Escola de Moda de Lisboa, and has also taught and delivered numerous workshops in the field.

She is the author of hundreds of columns and articles published in the media, and has also edited a book on Interior Design. In 2025, she was invited to curate a special edition of Archinews, bringing together some of the studio’s most distinguished projects.
