Architect Rita Conceição Silva, graduated from the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa in 1998, with an Erasmus exchange at the Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, began her professional career with architect Miguel Saraiva, where between 1998 and 2000 she participated in various architectural projects. Most of her professional experience was developed at Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos, where she worked for 20 years (2000–2020), participating in and developing projects of varying complexity and scale, from preliminary studies to construction supervision, coordinating teams, particularly in building rehabilitation.

In residential and mixed-use complexes, notable projects include Edifício Alcântara-Rio, the Pinhol building complex, the rehabilitation of the Auchan building, and the rehabilitation of the Convento das Mónicas, both in collaboration with Aires Mateus & Associados; Edifício da Mundicentre, Av. da Liberdade 203, the Palacete on Rua Garcia de Orta, the rehabilitation of the building on Av. da República 37 (SECIL Award), Rua Duques de Bragança, Edifício Promenada on Av. 24 de Julho, Rua do Salitre 83, and the conversion of the former CUF Hospital into a private residential condominium, among others.

In office, service, and school buildings, highlights include the Logoplaste Campus in Cascais, Banco Finantia, Alcatel Headquarters, the design competition for Nova School of Business and Economics in Carcavelos, and the rehabilitation of the former Napolitana Factory into the Lisbon International School in Lisbon.

She has also contributed to several hospitality projects, such as the rehabilitation of buildings on Rua do Salitre 62 for a hotel, Rua Rodrigues Sampaio for a hotel, Rua Alexandre Herculano for a hotel, and a new building on Rua Rodrigues Faria for an aparthotel in Lisbon.

Rita is always ready for new challenges and sets high standards for herself, motivating everyone around her. Architecture is not just a profession for her—it is an expression of her creativity and the organized way she approaches life. She balances her projects with an active family life and still finds time for friends. She enjoys attending concerts, playing padel, bodyboarding in the sea, running along the waterfront, or simply exploring the Portuguese coast on long walks.
